Hello World didn't run - configuration error I presume

I received this error message;

C:\Flex\frameworks\flex-config.xml(56): Error: unable to open 'libs/player/17.0/playerglobal.swc’

Do I have (or not have) the software located correctly?

Is there a partiular output i should be selecting?

Possible fix:

  1. Click Project > Properties.
  2. Click the SDK tab.
  3. Verify that “Flex 4.6.0, AIR 17.0” is selected in the drop down list. Try recompiling.
  4. If you don’t have a “Flex 4.6.0, AIR 17.0”, click Tools > Install Software
  5. Update your Flex/AIR to the newest version, restart FlashDevelop and re-follow the steps.

I was getting the same error a couple days ago when upgrading FlashDevelop and found that simply installing the new AIR/Flex and applying it resulted in a fix.

This should go into the “Help” category; this one is to ask for feedback on something you made, and idea you had, etc. You can edit this topic clicking to the pencil besides the title and try to not make the same error :wink:

PS: You are using Flex, right?
