I’ve got a bit of a problem with text class.
The lines of the font that I’m using (Arial) look really jaggy and not how the font is supposed to look on this size.
Here’s a picture with my problem. The text with the outline (Hunger) is part of the UI and is also Arial but made in paint.net.
Is there a way to get the lines more ‘clean’ or is this just how Flash does things?
Smaller makes it worse, and bigger is indeed better. But I can’t really go bigger, would you suggest just making a bitmap font?
If this is static text, I’d suggest creating an image containing the text you’d want.
Most texts will be static but some will be dynamic depending on custom keybinds and such.
Example: “Pick up towel (E)”
I noticed that all non pixel fonts get distorted on smaller sizes. (Arial, Verdana, etc.)
I’m using a pixel font now and it doesn’t get distorted as long as I use the correct size.
